IIT Bombay has secured second position in India and 172nd rank this year in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (2023). Overall, the Institute has improved on its 2022 performance by five places.
About 24,000 students participated in the admission test. Of them, 6000 were selected for final admission test. A total of 1,215 students will get chance to be admitted in the university.
The maximum number of selected candidates is from the state of Delhi. Institutes in Delhi like Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), DU (University of Delhi), and India Insitute of Technology-Delhi (IIT-Delhi) send a lot of candidates to the UPSC.
