Common sense: The difference between leds and organic light-emitting diodes

LED TVS are now edge-lit LCDS (liquid crystal displays) that transmit light from a single wire to the center of the screen through a large number of light-emitting diodes (leds) scattered around the screen. It makes the screen thinner, but it also creates annoying viewing angles.

In contrast, the screen of an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) is made up of organic materials that emit light when an electric current is passed through it. Due to the removal of the backlight, the performance of the OLED screen is better than that of other competing products.

The Benefits of OLED

OLED TVS are able to provide a higher quality density of pixels and clearer images, which means that OLED screens can display full three-dimensional images without sacrificing image resolution as most TVS from other companies do. When watching natural scenery videos on an OLED TV, it is like looking at a window, rather than watching a glowing box.

We haven't even talked about colors. OLED displays can artificially create all the colors of nature. Looking at the OLED screen behind the LCD screen, it feels like Dorothy opened the door to Wonderland for the first time in the Wizard of Oz.

The contrast ratio of the OLED screen is almost infinite, so there will be no color distortion or black spots on the screen when watching The Dark Knight on Blu-ray disc. Organic light-emitting diodes also overcome the problem of dynamic ambiguity. Usually, on LCD devices, when people quickly flash past, there will be a nasty and scary ghost. These advantages alone are enough to make the OLED screen the first choice for gaming.

OLED screens not only make the TV lighter and thinner, but they also bend freely. I haven't seen any large screens with this feature yet, but I believe it will be possible to hang a TV from the ceiling in the near future.
