My decision to study abroad has been a long journey, filled with uncertainty. It wasn't until my senior year of high school that I fully committed to pursuing a master's degree. This has certainly proved challenging, between completing my graduation thesis, defending it, and preparing for the IELTS exam. However, witnessing the success of my peers in the Chinese postgraduate entrance examination was a source of motivation for me. It solidified my desire to pursue postgraduate studies in Hong Kong. As young individuals, we have the privilege of having more time and energy to devote to our education. Therefore, it is crucial that we act promptly on our aspirations.

Aside from the basics, my undergraduate academic performance was not particularly strong, especially in the highly competitive business major. My overall GPA was 3.28, with an IELTS score of 6.5(6), and involvement in various internships with companies in Hong Kong. As a finance major, my goal is to attend the accounting department at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, renowned for its excellence in this field. The curriculum focuses on applied accounting for undergraduates and offers opportunities to explore fundamental courses in depth. After reviewing the program schedule, I was impressed and knew it was the right fit for me. Thus, I began my search for a suitable institution for my higher education.

On December 17, I have an interview at ACA Baptist Church, which includes a brief written test to assess writing skills. Later, I was brought to a conference room for a face-to-face interview. During the interview, I submitted an article and then took turns discussing its content for two minutes, which also evaluated reading abilities.

After reviewing the resume, I observed specific requirements for daily interview skills and oral communication abilities. As a result of the effective interview, I received an oral invitation. It is worth noting that Daniel equipped me with a comprehensive guide that addressed all the questions asked during our meeting, leading to my delivery of satisfactory responses and garnering praise from the interviewer. About two weeks later, on February 12, 2020, I received a formal invitation from the Baptist Church for an accounting position. The interview took place over Skype and I had previously sought Daniel's help in revising my written test and preparing for it.

My confidence for this interview has been boosted by my previous experience. It was quite comical, as I received the test questions at 9:30 on the day of the interview. Thankfully, Mr. Danyll came to my aid by completing and sending me the task to use. The video from PolyU arrived exactly at 10 o'clock, and I found the entire interview enjoyable. With proper preparation beforehand with Mr. Niu, I encountered no major difficulties during the interview. As expected, in the early hours of the 13th while playing a game, I received an email from a science and engineering accountant!

This year, many of our classmates hesitated and didn't even consider giving up during the application management process. I really need to thank you!
